Mental illness is like air... just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there. It is all around us.Every 16 minutes in America, someone dies of suicide. Others continue to suffer in silence, afraid or embarrassed to ask for help. Others self-medicate with alcohol and drugs.
Join Us for NAMI Walk - A.I.R. Concert - May 21, 2011
Each year NAMI Mercer Sponsors a Statewide walk in affiliation with many of the NAMI chapters throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania to raise awareness and support the many free programs NAMI provides year round to help those who suffer and their families. After the walk there is free food provided by in kind donations and a free concert sponsored by A.I.R. Attitudes In Reverse. Please sign up to walk with us and/or donate to support the cause today. Through YOUR generosity and support we have given away over 300 T-Shirts to help spread the word regarding A.I.R. which takes us closer to a stigma free society with regard to mental illness. As Katelyn said: "You need to know when to talk and know when to listen."

Our A.I.R. t-shirts are green, representing both Depression and Children's Mental Health, with white type, signifying HOPE, that one day the stigma against mental illnesses will be gone. We encourage people to wear their shirts, so that youth and adult alike will start asking what "A.I.R. Attitudes In Reverse" means, thereby opening the door to MUCH needed conversation.
